Relief Enhanced
Every massage at Thai Massage Body Balance can be built out with a targeted enhancement. Whether you want deeper work on a stubborn area, a calmer sensory experience, or skin that feels as good as your muscles do, our add-on treatments let you shape the session around exactly what you came in for. Add one when you book, or ask your therapist during intake.
Mon - Sun: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
A traditional East Asian technique that uses smooth-edged tools to gently scrape along the skin’s surface, working into the fascia where tension sits underneath the muscle itself.
Gua Sha supports lymphatic drainage, helps reduce inflammation, and releases the kind of deeply held tightness that pressure alone doesn’t always reach. It pairs particularly well with deep tissue and sports massage, where the goal is working into stubborn, long-standing areas.
Good for: chronic tight spots, fascia restriction, areas that keep coming back session after session.
Note: Gua Sha leaves temporary reddish marks on the skin, which typically fade within a few days. This is a normal and expected part of the treatment. Your therapist will explain what to expect before starting.
Premium essential oils added to your massage, selected to match what you want out of the session.
Beyond the scent itself, the oils help your therapist work more smoothly into tight muscles and knots, supporting relief from pain and stiffness. The result is a calmer, more immersive session that engages the senses alongside the bodywork. A natural fit for Swedish and combination massage, where relaxation is already the focus.
Good for: stress relief, sleep, winding down, and anyone who wants the session to feel like a full escape.
Smooth, heated stones worked into your massage to relax muscles, ease tension, and deepen the overall effect of the treatment.
The warmth helps muscles release faster, which means your therapist can work more effectively without needing to increase pressure. Added to a massage you’ve already chosen, the stones enhance what’s happening rather than replacing it.
Good for: cold-weather sessions, tension that resists pressure, anyone who runs tense and needs help letting go.
Looking for a full hot stone session? We also offer Hot Stone Massage as a complete standalone treatment, where the stones are the centerpiece of the entire session rather than an enhancement to another massage.
A full-body exfoliating treatment that polishes away dull skin cells and stimulates circulation.
Your skin is left noticeably softer and better prepared to absorb therapeutic oils, which makes this a natural pairing with any oil-based massage. Many clients add it before an event, a trip, or simply when they want the session to feel like a complete reset rather than muscle work alone.
Good for: dry or dull skin, pre-event prep, turning a massage into a full spa experience.
Gua Sha and hot stone both help tissue release on their own terms, which means better results without your therapist having to push harder than feels comfortable.
If the same knot or tight spot shows up every visit, an enhancement gives your therapist another way to approach it.
An add-on layers into your existing session rather than taking time away from it, so you leave with more than you came for.
Aromatherapy and body scrub shift a session from purely therapeutic to something closer to a full reset.
Yes. Many clients pair an aromatherapy add-on with either Gua Sha or hot stone. Combining several does take time away from the hands-on massage itself, so your therapist will help you decide what fits comfortably within the session length you’ve booked.
No. Enhancements are worked into the session length you’ve already chosen rather than extending it. If you want the full benefit of both the massage and the add-on without either feeling rushed, we generally recommend booking a 90 or 120-minute session.
Not at all. You’re welcome to select an add-on when booking online, but you can also decide during your intake conversation once you’ve talked through what your body needs that day.
It shouldn’t be. The pressure is firm but controlled, and your therapist adjusts throughout. You may notice temporary reddish marks afterward, which is a normal response and typically fades within a few days.
It depends on what you’re after. Gua Sha suits stubborn, long-standing tension. Aromatherapy suits stress and relaxation. Hot stone helps muscles release when tension resists pressure. Body scrub is the choice when you want your skin to feel as good as your muscles. If you’re unsure, your therapist is happy to recommend one once they understand your goals.
Your safety always comes first. Please let your therapist know if you’re pregnant, have a recent injury, have undergone surgery, or have any skin sensitivities, inflammation, or other medical conditions. Gua Sha and body scrub in particular may not be suitable for sensitive or broken skin. We’ll recommend modifications or an alternative enhancement where needed.
